Mr. Anthony Selom Dzadzra is a distinguished lawyer, economist, public policy expert, and author. A graduate of Princeton University, he holds a Master in Public Policy from Princeton and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Ghana, Legon. His academic portfolio also includes a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Philosophy, both from the University of Ghana. In addition, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy, Governance, and Democratization from the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands, and a Master of Arts in Theology from the Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology, Mission and Culture, Akropong-Akwapem.
Mr. Dzadzra began his public service career in 1995 as an Assistant Budget Analyst at the Ahafo Ano North District Assembly. Between 2001 and 2010, he progressed through various roles at the Ministry of Finance, including Budget Analyst, Senior Budget Analyst, and Principal Budget Analyst.
He also served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, and as Governance Pillar Lead with a focus on Monitoring and Evaluation. From 2011 to 2012, he was Chief Budget Analyst at the Tax Policy Unit. He later became the Head of Tax Policy Unit and Director of the Revenue Policy Division from 2013 to 2019, where he played a pivotal role in overhauling Ghana's tax legislation, leading to the enactment of key laws including the Revenue Administration Act (Act 915), Income Tax Act (Act 896), Customs Act (Act 891), and Excise Duty Act (Act 878).
From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Dzadzra served as Director for Policy Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PPBME) at the Ministry of Energy, where he coordinated the drafting of Ghana’s Energy Transition Plan. He continued his leadership as the Director of PPBME at the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources from 2023 to February 2025, overseeing the rollout of the Sector Information System for the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector.
A recipient of the Robert McNamara Fellowship (2005) and the World Bank/ACBF Scholarship (1998–2000), Mr. Dzadzra is also an accomplished author. His works include Giving Grace – Releasing the Power for Wealth, Woman Redefined – Unveiling the Gem of Creation, Woman Redefined Devotional, The Art of Following – Rediscovering True Discipleship in Christianity, and The Principles of Following – A Blueprint for Followers and Leaders.
