Benjamin Botchway

Benjamin T. Botchway is the Director for General Administration at the Ministry of Finance. His portfolio covers a wide range of key administrative functions including General Services, Records Management, Information Technology, Security, Human Capital, Public Relations, Transport, and Estates.

He has previously served as Director in charge of Administration & General Services, and as Head of Training, Transport & Travels. In addition, he has held roles across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as Deputy Director of Human Resources Management, and played instrumental roles in policy formulation and implementation with the Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate.

During his tenure at the Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate, Benjamin acquired extensive knowledge and skills in project management. His service since 1998 and involvement in numerous committees and programmes have enabled him to make significant contributions to policy development and reforms within the Service.

Benjamin holds a BSc in Administration (Banking & Finance) from the School of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He also holds a Master of Management Science with a specialization in Public Policy from Peking University. Additionally, he possesses a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from GIMPA, and a certification in Enhancement of Local Government Administration and Better Public Services from Ryukoku University, Japan.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana.

Benjamin is known for his versatility, strong initiative, and drive.
