SNNIT BOARD MEMBER SWORN IN.
The Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Planning yesterday swore in Nana Fredua Agyeman Pambua, the current president of the Ghana Employers Association, as a board member of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust in a ceremony which organized in the Hon. Minister Office.
Nana Fredua Agyeman Pambua will represent the interests of the Empolyers Association on the board of SNNIT. He takes over from Dr Charles Mensah whose term of office as the president of the Employers Assciation ended sometime ago.
Hon. Gyan Baffour noted to the newly sworn in board member that the confidence entrusted in him by the president and the ministers of state is so high and thus he should endeavour to maintain that trust and confidence. He advised him that the pressure on him from many quarters as he has assumed such high post and he should be guided by the principle that anytime he enters the corridors of the board room his personal interest should be subsumed by that of the nation’s. He further implored Nana Fredua to always avoid situations from which a conflict of interest between him and his job might arise.
The Attorney General and Minister Justice Hon. Joe Ghartey on his part warned him that the newly sworn in member may make many enemies because of his new position. He continued that if he continues to work with integrity his good name will always shine through.
The quite ceremony was witnessed by dignitaries including the Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Prof George Gyan Baffour, The Attorney General and Minister Justice Hon. Joe Ghartey The Chief Director of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Nana Juaben- Boaten Sireboe.
