Ghana Government Acquires Us$ 53.8 Million To Boost Fisheries Sub-Sector
The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors on July 14, 2011 approved a total investment cost of US$ 53.8 million for Ghana. The amount comprises of a grant of US$ 3.5 million from Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and a loan of US$ 50.3 million from International Development Association (IDA) and will be used to implement the Fisheries and Aquaculture Project in Ghana. Outgrower And Value Chain Fund Signing Ceremony
Accra, Ghana, Monday 29 March, 2010- The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Honourable Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Honourable Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi and KfW First Vice President for West and East Africa, Dr. Klaus Muller signed a loan and financing agreement to the tune of �11.0 Million (Eleven Million Euros) composed of a �10.0 Million (Ten Million Euro) concessionary loan and �1.0 Million (One Million Euro) grant in respect of the Outgrower and Value Chain Fund (OVCF).
