A dynamic division, providing strategic direction and coordination, in the management and delivery of public investments including public entities in partnership with the public and private sectors. We do this through transparent procedures and policies and in a professional manner that commands public confidence.

OBJECTIVES:

Develop a national public investment policy.

Efficient allocation of resources for public investments;

Coordination and implementation of the National PPP program.

Oversight management of state investments in SOE’s and Joint Ventures;

Provide interdepartmental coordination and strategic direction for projects of immense economic and social significance to Government.

STRATEGIES :

Develop a national public investment policy.

a.   Establish an appropriate policy framework to guide public investment decisions;

Efficiently allocate resources for public investments.

a.   Establish a comprehensive national database of public investment programmes;
b.   Provide a gate keeping role through the use of specialised appraisal tools;

Coordinate and implement the National PPP program.

a.   Establish and enforce policy, institutional, legal and regulatory framework for PPPs in Ghana
b.   Provide transaction advisory role for PPP projects;
c.   Monitor and evaluate PPP projects.

Oversee the management of state investments in SOE’s and Joint Ventures;

a.   Monitor commercial and strategic investments of Government using effective portfolio management tools;

Coordinate and guide government negotiating teams for strategic investment projects including PPPs.

  In partnership with executing agencies, ensure that the design and coordination of identified strategic economic development projects are undertaken and completed on schedule
