HON. MINISTER OF FINANCE AND ECONOMIC PLANNING MEETS
FRENCH DELEGATION
A fifteen-member high level delegation of French companies led by Mr. Patrick Lucas, President of the African Committee of MEDEF International, has met with the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Wiredu to discuss ways to explore investments opportunities in Ghana.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon Kwadwo Baah Wiredu said the country was ready to absorb further investment in various sectors of the economy and also create production partnership with companies and investors in France and the rest of Europe.
He said measures are in place to maintain stable micro economic conditions for the growth of businesses. He assured them that government is doing its best to keep inflation within reasonable boundaries, given the challenge of various indicators like escalating food and fuel prices.
On his part, Mr. Patrick Lucas, leader of the delegation said, MEDEF is comprised of 800,000 private companies internationally committed to assisting French companies to do business in foreign countries. MEDEF Afrique is responsible for various missions in different countries of Africa.
He noted that, sixty (60) companies are already doing business in Ghana. He said the growing economy of the country makes it the right time to invest in Ghana.
Also present was the French Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Pierre Jacquemot who led the team to the Ministry.
