The German Government yesterday presented a set of IT equipment worth 150,000.00 Euros and a Pajero four - wheel drive vehicle to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra.
The donation, which includes computers, printers and photocopiers was financed as part of the collaboration between the German Technical Co-operation (GTZ) and the KAIPTC, to assist the centre to expand its institutional capacities to provide the needed training for peace support operations and crisis prevention measures in the West African Region.
Major-General John Attipoe, the Commandant of KAIPTC said the world economic crisis has affected supporters of the Centre, but GTZ has stood firm to support them with IT equipment that are crucial in the training.
