PARLIAMENT APPROVES SUPPLEMENARY BUDGET

Parliament has approved the Suplementary Budget laid before House by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.

The Supplementary budget is seeking Parliament’s approval to commit more resources to address among other things, the energy situation, development of road infrastructure, rehabilitation of Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale Airports and hosting of CAN 2008.

The total amunt being sought for these programmes and projects is GH¢827,386,500 (¢8,273.9 billion).
