BAAH-WIREDU WINS POSTHUMOUS AWARD (October 15, 2008)
Ghana’s late Finance and Economic Minister, Kwadwo Baah -Wiredu was adjudged the best finance minister in Africa 2008. The posthumous award cited the contribution of the late minister to Ghana’s economic reform which has consistently put the country on the map of best reforming business environments in the world for the past three years.

The Government of Ghana has signed a $4.3 million agreement with the World Bank, Swedish International Development Agency and the DFID to promote the use of renewable energy in Ghana.

ACP Heads Re-affirm Commitment To Cotonou Accord (October 4, 2008)
African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Heads of State and Governments, yesterday, re-affirmed their commitment to the Principles enshrined in the Georgetown agreement that established the Group of ACP states. They have also committed themselves to the ACP-EU Cotonou Partnership Agreement and the United Nations Charter.

Renounce all interim EPAs, ACP heads told (October 2, 2008)
Heads of African Caribbean Pacific (ACP) countries attending the 6th ACP Summit in Accra, were on Wednesday called upon to renounce all interim and comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) and resolve to negotiate fresh EPAs on 'reciprocal goods only' with the EU.
