GOKA Family inform Minister of former Minister Goka’s death

The family of the late F.K.D Goka, Finance Minister during Kwame Nkrumah’s regime has formally announced his death and funeral arrangements to Hon. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, current Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.

Led by Christian and Eric Gokah, they expressed the family’s appreciation to the Hon. Minister for sending a delegation to visit their father last year adding that their father really appreciated the visit.

Welcoming them, Hon. Minister said eminent citizens like the late Goka played their part very well to the extent that some of the policies and programmes they initiated are being implemented currently.

He assured the family that the Ministry would do well to attend the funeral and assist the family to give him a fitting a burial.

Hon. F.K.D. Goka was the Minister of Finance from 1961 to 1962. He died on April 24, 2007.

Funeral arrangements are as follows;
• Friday July 6, Pre-Burial Service at the Mamprobi E P. Church, at 11.00 am
• Saturday July 7, 2007 – Burial Service at Mafi-Anfoe near Adidome at 9:00
