BOOK OF CONDOLENCE FOR THE LATE MR. KWADWO BAAH-WIREDU
Condolence
Words are not enough to describe my shock, over the news of the death of your Honourable Minister of Finance and Economic Planning. Mr. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu. As you can imagine. my pain is made more severe because of the recent meeting with him. I can still recall his brisk walk down the stairs, for a meeting across the road. He looked very healthy to me. In all my interactions with him, he came across as a sincere and genuine patriot WTIO wished his country. and Africa, well. Serving very closely under him as Chief Director, I can, therefore, imagine your sense of huge loss too.
Indeed, Hon. Wiredu's life reminds one of the vanity of our existence - here today, gone tomorrow. Perhaps, this is why it is important that for every minute we live. We should attempt to leave a positive legacy. He truly added value. We all still recall his brilliant outing during the 2008 AfDB meetings in Maputo where he urged fellow Africans to pursue cross domestic happiness for their peoples instead of the traditional emphases on GDP. We will miss him. But be consoled that he led a worthy life.
This is why we invite you, and officials of your ministry, to join us on October 12 in Washington Marriot Hotel (on nod Street NW) at the event of the "2008 Africa investment Forum" where we shall honor Hon. Kwadwo-Baah Wiredu, post-humously. as "2008 Finance Minister of the Year".
Our sincere prayer is for Almighty God to grant you, your Ministry, his family and the entire people of Ghana the fortitude to bear this loss. Kindly accept our heartfelt condolence.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
